The Kitsap Community Food Co-op welcomes volunteers!

Whether you’re interested in helping in the store, serving on the board, or joining a committee, there is a different way to connect for each type of volunteer opportunity. Please review the opportunities below to learn more about each role and how to connect with us.

Grocery Stocker

The stocker plays an important role in ensuring that products are displayed neatly on the floor, backstock is rotated properly, and the store remains neat and clean at all times.  The stocker may assist with processing deliveries, pricing, setting up displays, customer service, or other duties as assigned. Daily, with both AM and PM shifts available.

If you are interested in volunteering in the store, send an email to: volunteers@kitsapfood.coop and our Volunteer Coordinator will reach out to you.

Board Members

The KCFC Board of Directors may have a maximum of ten directors, and functions as the entity that is legally responsible for all business and financial decisions of the co-op. We are actively seeking board members with experience in the following areas: retail management (especially grocery), commercial real estate, finance, contract law, agriculture, marketing/public relations, and fundraising.

Elections occur at the close of our fiscal year in the fall for expiring terms, which last three years.

NOTE: You must be a Member-owner in good standing to serve on the board of directors.

If you are interested in learning more about serving on our board, reach out to us at: board@kitsapfood.coop

Currently, we are in need of a Board Treasurer.
