What is a cooperative grocery store?

MembersBanner

It means we are owned by our members –people just like you who want to see a healthier and more robust local food system, not an outside corporation.

It means that we are a not-for-profit business. We are guided by our values, not by making money.

It means that the profits we do make are invested back into our community in the form of expanded services, member-discounts and dividends, rather than lining the pockets of people at the top.

Put this all together and it means that the money you spend at the co-op stays in your community.  Your support for the co-op becomes support for your neighbors, your community, and your local food system.

Get Involved

We have an amazing staff in the store, who keep the wheels turning and the shelves stocked. But behind the scenes, we are all volunteer-run, led by our board of directors.  Please consider getting involved by volunteering your time and skills to the co-op!  We're looking for folks with a range of interests and skillsets.
