As we plant the seed of the Kitsap Community Food Co-op across our county, marketing is essential to a strong and meaningful brand. We must actively promote the co-op with a uniquely tailored message that connects with the many residents that call Kitsap County home. The marketing committee is open to everyone, not just member-owners.

We are looking for multiple individuals who can fill a variety of skill sets to contribute to membership drives, engaging current member-owners, and collaborating with the Events Committee among other print, web and social marketing initiatives. Here are the core list of items/skills the marketing committee needs.:

Current Opportunities:

Designers, Artists, Photographers – At many times during the marketing efforts we need help with design work, creation of collateral, promotional material and content for our materials. The co-op benefits from several points of view! We’d love to have several folks as resources we can access to increase sustainability and diversity of perspective.

Analytics & Measurement – We’d like to know if our efforts are meeting our goals, and we need help assessing that. From measuring outreach efforts, tracking incoming memberships and spear-heading member surveys, we need help measuring and tracking our most effective points of contact and capturing information on our current & prospective members.

Writer & Editor – We can never have too many writers/editors helping us out. We have a newsletter, blog and social media posts and many other marketing pieces that need content either written or refreshed.

Public Relations – The Public Relations role will work with local media outlets to create strong relationships. This person might do speaking engagements, write press releases and/or team up with other community relations volunteers to approach other local businesses about cross-promotional opportunties.

Member Engagement & Measurement Callers – One of the tasks that needs addressing is actually reaching out to our members. Many people joined several years ago and we need to make sure they are still active with the co-op. One way we can do that is by placing calls to groups of 10 or 20 at a time. During these conversations, we will provide a script & questionnaire to help guide the conversations.
